Refund Policy

This policy explains when and how refunds are offered for purchases made from BIM XL Limited (trading as BIMXcellence) via bimxcellence.com and our learning platform on Wix. It should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK/EU consumer law.

2) Scope
This policy applies to purchases of:

Online courses and modules (digital content)
-
Live online sessions, webinars, and workshops (scheduled events)
-
Course bundles and multi‑module pathways
Sponsored/B2B purchases may be governed by a separate agreement (see §9).
3) Consumer cooling‑off (UK/EU)
If you are a consumer in the UK/EU and purchase online, you may have a 14‑day cooling‑off period from the day after we accept your order.
3.1 Digital content (self‑paced modules, downloadable materials)

If you start accessing digital content during the 14‑day period at your request, you acknowledge that we begin performance immediately and you lose your right to cancel for that digital content once access begins.

If you have not accessed the digital content, you may cancel within 14 days for a full refund.
3.2 Live online sessions / scheduled events

Cancel 7 or more days before the first session: 100% refund (less any non‑recoverable third‑party fees clearly disclosed at checkout, if applicable).

Cancel fewer than 7 days before the first session or after the course has started: no refund. We may offer a seat transfer to a later cohort where available.

4) Prerequisites, entry assessments & evidence of qualifications
Some modules have prerequisites and/or may require an entry assessment (see Terms §4.1). You may be asked to provide evidence of prior learning, for example A‑level (or equivalent) in Mathematics, English and French and/or a relevant degree, or equivalent professional experience.

Before access begins: if we determine you do not yet meet the requirements, we may offer a preparatory pathway, an alternative module, deferral to a later cohort, or a refund per this policy.

After access begins (digital content): the standard digital‑content rules apply (see §3.1). Refunds may not be available once you have accessed course content.
5) Our changes, rescheduling or cancellations
We may update or improve course content, reschedule sessions, or substitute instructors where necessary. If we cancel a course and do not offer a reasonable alternative, you will be entitled to a full refund of fees paid for that course. We are not responsible for indirect costs (e.g., travel, equipment).
6) Non‑refundable items and fees
Unless required by law or expressly stated otherwise:

Fees for digital content after access has begun are non‑refundable (see §3.1).

Third‑party charges (e.g., payment gateway fees) are non‑refundable where they are non‑recoverable and were clearly disclosed at checkout.

Expired promotions, vouchers or coupons cannot be reinstated or refunded.

Administrative or assessment fees specifically stated as non‑refundable at purchase are not refundable.
7) Partial refunds & pro‑rata

Bundles / pathways: If you request a refund for part of a bundle that remains eligible for refund, we calculate it at the standalone price of the item(s) minus any used components and non‑recoverable fees.

Seat transfers: If you transfer to a later cohort, any subsequent refund follows the rules applicable to the new cohort dates.

For bank‑transfer refunds: your payee details as requested by support (we may require identity verification)
We may ask for additional information to verify your identity and the status of your access.
9) Sponsored and B2B purchases
For employer‑sponsored or business‑to‑business purchases, cancellations and refunds are governed by the commercial agreement with the purchasing organisation and any course‑specific terms. Unless otherwise agreed, B2B purchases are non‑cancellable and non‑refundable once access is provisioned.
10) Processing your refund

Method: Refunds are made to the original payment method where possible. Bank‑transfer refunds may require bank details and verification.

Timing: We aim to process approved refunds within 14 days of confirmation. Bank processing times and PayPal timelines are outside our control.

Currency & exchange: Refunds are issued in the original transaction currency. Any exchange‑rate differences or bank charges are your responsibility unless required by law.
11) Chargebacks and disputes
If you dispute a transaction via your payment provider, please also contact us at cve90462@myport.ac.uk so we can help resolve it quickly. Unresolved chargebacks may result in suspension of access until the matter is settled.
12) Mistaken purchases & duplicate orders
If you made a mistaken or duplicate purchase, contact us within 48 hours and before accessing digital content. We will review and, where appropriate, refund or credit the duplicate transaction.
13) Compliance with law
We comply with applicable UK consumer protection law and, where relevant, EU consumer law. Your mandatory statutory rights are not affected by this policy.
14) Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to our Services or the law. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in‑platform.
